What is a Mystery Reader?

Mystery Readers are a sponsorship level for the Read-A-Thon. For a $50 donation (per child), parents and family members of grammar students can sign up for a once a month slot to read to their student’s class.

*Mystery Reader donations will NOT count towards a student’s total for the Read-A-Thon

Step 1: Donate! Click the link below to make your mystery reader donation of $50/child. Once your donation is complete, you can move on to Step 2!

Please make your donation prior to booking your slot!

Step 2: Follow the link below to view and sign up for Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday slots. Readers will arrive (with a book to read and an ID) at 2:15 p.m to sign in, and will read from 2:30-2:45 p.m.

Calendar links will open on the Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Please do not book a spot until payment has been made.

FAQs

  • Yes! Please bring an age appropriate book that can be read in the given time frame. We want to honor the teacher’s time with their classes by not reading more than 15 minutes.

  • Please arrive to the CDA Dallas campus at 2:15 p.m. to sign in. Please bring your ID. Mystery Readers will read from 2:30-2:45 p.m.

  • Changes can be made via SignUp Genius.

  • Mystery Readers can read to any grammar classroom (PK-4th grade).
